Product Description

New York Times bestselling author Eric Jerome Dickey, known for “the vibrancy of his characters” (The Washington Post) explores the boundaries of one woman’s deepest fantasies—and crosses them with absolute abandon.

What Nia Simon Bijou desires, she works hard to achieve. Her accomplishments as a respected writer have not only brought her to Hollywood, but she’s now poised for worldwide success, and pursued and desired by Prada, a man of international power and wealth. With everything Nia has, she remains restless and on a journey to quell her inner storm. Then someone introduces her to a place called Decadence…

In this intimately private club, Nia submits to an abundance of sensual experiences she previously could only have imagined. As secret desires become reality, Nia’s ability to distinguish truth from fantasy becomes increasingly blurred. Seduced into the extremes of Decadence, Nia soon discovers that abandoning all caution in pursuit of your hedonistic fantasies can carry a devastating price…

I am a huge EJD fan like many others but I was on the fence with this one. I like the book, like the erotica of the book but the character and the plot were confusing to me at times. I was upset with the way it ended but trying to come to terms with myself that books or movies should not always have that fairy tale ending. I understand that he has to expand his books but I found myself drifting from the book a few times. She kept rambling and I was even thinking "stop her from talking please". I know I lack World knowledge and I know EJD has to grow as an author but I just could not keep up or I just wasnt interested when there were talks of other countries and different languagues. There seems to be alot more of this from him lately, even from the books about Gideon (which I loved LOL).

Overall I decided to give a 4 and not a 3 because I have love for EJD as a LIFE LONG FAN and I am not fooling anyone but myself because I will still buy anything that he puts out....NO MATTER WHAT

Hey......was it just me or did any other women think to themselves, How is he portraying a women in this detail ?!!! I am not sure on how I feel about that. Would I rather hear a story like that from a female author or what? Not sure..... I know that art and a persons imagination is pushed out into their books but a part of me continues to ask that question.

This is a character that I enjoyed thoroughly in "Pleasure" and truthfully didn''t expect anything to be added to her storyline. I was appreciative to find this book and felt that it still read the same as the first despite the time gap in release dates. Now, I must say that I treasured the first more than this novel, but it is still a great read if you are a fan of Nia Simone Bijou. You are exposed to yet another aspect of her and how she interacts with the predominant lovers in her life which is much different than in "Pleasure". There was some places where she goes on inner dialogue tangents that could have been compressed or replaced with other scenes, but overall, I still felt a deep connection to the character as I read the novel and often found myself reading multiple chapters at a time until I reached the unfortunate end.

He''s helped me see new things, allow me to enjoy new experiences, taught me new things, all without leaving the comforts of home (or work, wherever I''m reading). This is a NSFW book, but I had to bring it because I couldn''t put it down. EJD wrapped me in Nia SImone''s world, almost had me feeling like I''d been watching a movie. His books are gripping, drama filled and perfect for reading with your special someone. I just have one request...BRING BACK GIDEON!!! And have him meet Nia Simone. That would be explosive!

Eric Jerome Dickey is my favorite author of all time. I have read every book he has ever written, and I have them. I pre-order his books. I did not like Decadence. I guess I can respect the independence of this very sexually liberated woman. But for me, Dickey''s stories have been rich with layers of everything, mystery, intrigue, love, murder, sex...this book simply took me through the sexual escapades of this woman with no real story line. Even in Pleasure, there was a story line. I was disappointed. Now I have to wait another year for another book.

This book took me for a ride. It was like Pleasure on steroids. It kept my interest but I was deathly tired of reading the erotic scenes. As descriptive and imaginative as his writing is I was over it halfway through the book. It somewhat overshadowed the core story, which was quite profound. One may argue that the core story WAS Decadence and it''s role in the main character''s life but I beg to differ. The characters are developed so thoroughly, beginning with the ''The Education of Nia Simone'' pre-story. Some past characters make guest appearances. The writing is great as usual, but all in all it was a bit much for me.

I''m a long time Eric Jerome Dickey fan; going almost ten years! I have loved and hated many of characters, but Nia Simone Bijou takes the cake! That woman is hot!!! Her style, depth of knowledge and chemistry are incredible. I cried with her, I loved with her, I experimented with her, and changed preconceived thoughts with her. Pleasure did things to me, The Education Of Nia Simone Bijou put things in perspective, but Decadence....mmmm.

This book brought Nia Simone''s story to head. Showed the affect that her college heart break really had on her. I loved every steamy, thoughtfully written page. I highly recommend this!!!!!

I truly love Mr. Dickey''s ability to pull you in to a story an have you dreading the fact that it will come to an end. His characters come to life, and I love how paths of his characters cross, making it that much more realistic in my opinion. He knows how to add ''spice'' with class unlike some authors who are vulgar for the sake of writing a dirty book w/o any storyline. If I didn''t have a toddler at home I could have finished this in one or two nights. If you like his work you will love this. I hope to see Nos reappear in the near future. Thank you, EJD, you have a fan for life!!

This book is soooooo articulately written. Yes there is a lot of sex but ''read'' beyond that. I take away so many thought processes and sayings from this book. A defo read if you want to feed your mind with intelligence, even though ''sex'' is on the menu....BRILLIANT!!
